Textile and Leather Fashion Convene at ASFW

The 10th annual Africa Sourcing and Fashion Week (ASFW) opened its doors last week at the Skylight Hotel on Africa Avenue, bringing together textile, fashion, and leather industries from across the continent. Organizers state exhibitors from over 30 African nations will be present. The event was inaugurated by government officials, including Minister of Industry Melaku Alebel and Minister of Tourism Selamawit Kassa. Last year, organizers stated that ASFW enjoyed 5,150 visitors from 58 countries along with 286 exhibitors from 28 countries. This year’s event featured a lineup of industry-focused conferences and panel discussions designed to address challenges in textile production, leather processing, and supply chain issues.
