Over 500 domestic and foreign companies are expected to attend the international trade fair organised by the Addis Abeba Chamber of Commerce & Sectoral Association (AACCSA), which was launched at Interluxuty Hotel last week. The trade fair is expected to be opened in the coming year at the Addis Abeba Exhibition Centre and Millineum Hall. Mesenbet Shenkute, the Chamber's president launched the trade fair alongside Shibeshi Betemariam, secretary general. Mesenbet remarked that the trade fair is important to promote investment in agriculture, food and manufacturing and capture policymakers' attention on the import-export sector. "Most exporters are struggling to form linkages with international buyers," she said. Mesenbet said this year's international trade holds a lot of promise as the country embarks on the post-war era. "We hope for better outcomes this year," she told Fortune.
