Ministry Organises Agro-processing, Plastic-print Expo

Jun 12 , 2023

Participants hailing from 16 different countries and over 130 companies exhibiting their products attended the agro-processing and plastic print packaging expo last week. Over 3,000 visitors came to see the different products displayed at the Millenium Hall, Africa Avenue (Bole Road). The exhibition was hosted by the Industry and Agriculture ministries in partnership with several stakeholders from the private sector. At the opening ceremony, State Minister for Industry Hassan Mohammed stated that the international expo provided a platform to showcase local products, establish investment prospects, and network with industry peers. The expo is the fifth of its kind, occurring a mere three weeks after the Ethiopia Tamirt Exhibition that sought to foster local manufacturing. Despite a growing appetite internationally for agro-processed products globally, there has been limited progress in terms of development. Organised by Prana Events, the three-day event was free for all participants who managed to register online.
