Gojo Lottery Draw Sees 105 Houses Assigned

Jan 14 , 2023

Of the 8,127 residents that have dwelled to get a house in the capital, 105 got lucky as Gojo Bridge Housing has drawn its first round lottery. The lottery was drawn for members saving 2,000 Br every month for the last year following an advance payment of 52,000 Br. Gojo was established in February 2021 to ease the housing problem in the city by introducing a platform that connects private landowners, home buyers, lenders, and developers. The lottery that was planned to be drawn a few months back was postponed due to a system malfunction. Four months ago, the company partnered with the Ministry of Health and Dashen Bank to deliver 10,000 affordable housing for health professionals in the city at separate sites. The CEO Almaw Gari told participants the drawing system developed by Addis Abeba University is automated and is reserved from manual manipulation, at the event held at Eliana Grand Hotel on Churchill Road. The sites at Ayat Mekedonia and Behere Tsige had been selected for this round with 42 and 63 houses respectively.
