Dashen Bank and CR2, an Irish-owned banking software provider, have extended a partnership deal that would see the Bank move to digitalise its branch network. Dubbed the 'Branch Transformation Programme,' the overhaul will include phasing out traditional teller services in favour of digital points of access such as ATMs and in-branch self-service terminals. The two firms have a history of working together, with Dashen having chosen CR2's BankWorld digital banking platform to provide services to its digital banking customers and the 3.5 million users on its Amole digital wallet. Dashen Bank mobilised 74.6 billion Br in deposits last year through a branch network of 454, 30 of which were newly-opened. The Bank netted 1.73 billion Br in profits last year, recording a 12pc growth.
