Jotun Paint, a Norwegian multinational chemicals manufacturer, has inaugurated a paint factory in Adama Industrial Park. The factory has the capacity to produce eight million litres of paint annually. The construction of Jontu's factory began in February 2020 and the multinational has 41 other plants across the globe. Adama Industrial Park was constructed for 140 million dollars and opened its doors in 2018. The Park, which was erected by the China Civil Engineering Construction Company, hosts 19 manufacturing sheds that rest on 102ht of land in Adama Town. Authorities at the Ethiopian Investment Commission believe the entrance of the company will go a long way in attaining import substitution of paints.
