Ethiopian Airlines has acquired an additional Bombardier aircraft from de Havilland Canada. The 'Dash 8' is the 32nd such aircraft to join the company's fleet since it made the first acquisition in March 2010. Ethiopian has two simulators for the aircraft. The aircraft is known for its short take-off and landing capabilities as well as its efficiency. The Dash 8 was introduced by de Havilland Canada (DHC) in 1983. The company was acquired by Boeing five years later and then again by Longview Aviation Capital, a Canadian firm, in 2019.
