Second Ethiopian Vessel Docks in Berbera

The second vessel owned by the Ethiopian Shipping & Logistics Service Enterprise (ESLSE) has docked at the Port of Berbera, Somaliland. Named after a river, the Shebelle vessel was carrying a cargo of 11,000tn of sugar and rice transported from India. Ethiopia has a 19pc share in the Port, along with DP World (51pc) and Somaliland (30pc). Three weeks ago, another vessel owned by the Enterprise, Gibe, docked at the same Port with a cargo of 15,000tn of rice, marking the first time in over two decades that an Ethiopian ship dropped its anchor on the coast of Somaliland.
