Japan Backs Secondary School in Hadiya

Japan has given a 123,153-dollar grant to Ethiopia for the construction of a secondary school in Hadiya Zone, Southern Nations, Nationalities & People's Regional State. The new school, which is financed under the programme of Grassroots Human Security Projects, will be the construction of Lich GOOgo Secondary School in Kidigsa Kebele, Lemo Woreda. One school building will have four classrooms. The grant agreement was inked at the presence of the Ambassador of Japan to Ethiopia, Matsunaga Daisuke, Habtamu Abebe (PhD), president of Wachemo University, and Ergogie Tesfaye (PhD), minister of Labor & Social Affairs. More than 400 projects have been implemented since the Grassroots Human Security Projects was introduced in 1989.
