Ethio-American Doctors Provide COVIDTraining

Ethio-American Doctors Group, which includes over 350 doctors, has provided 18 different rounds of online training to medical professionals on the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). The training, given to over 100 medical professionals in each round, was primarily on the clinical symptoms of the virus, containment measures, intubation process, as well as maternal and child health. In addition to this, the Group has donated 135 complete sets of powered air-purifying respirators, 285 hoods and 17,340 bacterial and viral filters for mechanical ventilators worth 300,000 dollars to the Ministry of Health. The Doctors Group is also currently building a referral hospital for 110 million dollars that is expected to be completed in three years, according to Ephraim Senbetta (PhD), head of engineering & construction for the hospital. The hospital will have 300 beds, a full diagnostic centre, eight operating rooms and an outpatient medical office building with 80 consultation rooms. It is expected to be certified by the Joint Commission International.
